Boy if that doesn't tell you how the last few days have been. This morning, finally, we -- the Palace -- announced Greatpapa's retirement from public life. He's still going to do what he can to support Gran but he won't be doing any more Royal visits or things like that. Honestly I'm having a tough time imagininging Greatpapa in retirement.
Annie thinks it's a great idea. "He's given us so much. He should be allowed to have some bit of free life." Sometimes I wonder if this period of my life is to be the last of my freedom. Will Eton be as much of myself as I'm ever allowed to be.
What a depressing thought.
