We're approaching Malta tomorrow. We'll get our Royal Navy escort as we pass. H.M.S. Dauntless will be among the escort. Dauntless is the destroyer I served on during my brief tour. A part of me wishes I'd have spent more time aboard her.
I'm enjoying these days at sea. I'm getting a lot of uninterrupted time with Rory. Even Callum has been more relaxed. He wore a button up shirt today rather than his typical suit. It could be this Med heat.
It occured to me that I'm here and Anne is getting ready to celebrate her birthday on Tuesday. Last year we didn't get to celebrate much at all as we were dealing with the fallout of the news about Grandpapa's affair. This year I'm here on the Commonwealth Tour. I have to make it up to her.
