It's only 8:00am but we're already in the tiny plane. We're still over the Democratic Republic of Congo but we'll be in Nairobi in a few hours. Then it's a quick jump to a British Airways flight home.
I have learned so much on this trip. I think I get why Greatpapa is so concerned. Even in parts of the world with almost no development, the effect of urban spread and overdevelopment are causing horrible impacts. From habitat destruction and misplacement to pollution, the effects have a great scar on the wildlife, life that we rely on.
To make matters worse, many of these animals that are becoming displaced are then being poached.
It's been an incredibly eye opening few days and I think I need to sit with this for a time in order to process it.
