Diplomatic action
Québec City is lovely, though it feels a little empty at times and most people here speak French. Thank God for my friend. Without René, my French would only be borderline passable, definitely not conversational
I was very proud to be able to be able to deliver an address to a crowd of about eighteen hundred people at Québec City Hall.
About halfway through my speech, the sky opened up and a very English rain fell. I joked "maintenant je me sens chez moi" - "now, I feel at home." The crowd laughed and so did I, I before I continued. Surprisingly, by the end of it I actually got a rather decent round of applause.
A first, quite special moment for a debut solo tour.
