28th August, Y100 Monday Callum got us into a lovely hotel here in Canberra. Of course the Prime Minister withdrew his complaints and invited both Rory and I to stay at the Lodge, the official residence of the Prime Minister but on principle I declined.
  This re-invitation occurred on a drive away from Uluru, the glorious rock formation out in the desert. The striations of Uluru are nearly perpendicular to the local rock and is a wildly different mineral composition, indicating it originated from somewhere else on the Earth. It was probably deposited by glaciers or perhaps some immense seismic upheaval. It's truly awe inspiring.
  Once we got to the hotel; Callum managed to put together a last minute reception. Somehow he filled the space with only a few hours preparation. He really is a spectacular Private Secretary.
  Tomorrow we've set up a lunch with a young ballet dancer who reached out. Rory had seen what he'd called a desperate comment on an official social media post. It should be interesting.
