Today was first day that I've been able to get to the pool before six.
I wish I could say it was because my schedule allowed for it.
On Saturday night, Papa rather abruptly decided that the announcement of our engagement had to be today. Together we decided that it would be best to let the announcement be handled by palace communications. I'm more comfortable this way, after the last big interview we gave eventually led to Grandpapa's abdication, one cannot be blamed for being a tad gunshy.
With the Palace handling it, Rory decided he still wanted to meet with the folks from the RSPCA. I on the other hand decided to lear my diary. I took advantage of it to get some diving practice in.
It felt amazing
After, Anne came over to St. James's Palace and the three of us got ready to go out. We spent a few hours at the Starlight Room, dancing and then called it a night. Rory and I kept getting mobbed with congratulations. Anne has decided that we need a "make-up night." since we cut tonight short. Rory is inviting Margaret.
