A happy birthday to me indeed. The service at the Chapel Royal was long and boring and even Gran was very clearly bored. I actually heard Grandpapa tell Papa that he felt the homily was " a load of bunk." Papa chuckled and agreed. He said it was "waffle." I on the otherhand couldn't offer comment. I had only paid attention throught the first few moments. Paying attention to that stuff has been difficult the last few weeks.
Lunch for my birthday was at Buckingham Palace. There's always something so soulless about BP.
After lunch I came back to St. James's Palace and played piano for a bit and just sort of waited for the day to end. Twenty four is off to a smashing start.
