Diplomatic action

Good lord, what a day! Yesterday Prime Minister Crenshaw welcomed the disgusting slob of a man that the American's psuedo-elected as their President. For months he has petitioned to be permitted to address Parliament during his state visit. Much to Mr. Cramp's great disappointment, all parties nearly unanimously voted to not extend an invitation to address the Commons.

He then asked the house of Lords. The Lords never take kindly to that sort of thing and actually sent a note to the President that they'd been insulted.

Cramp actually put out a social media post that the House of Lord's telling him that they were insulted was insulting to him.

All of this said to indicate that the man is an obese child.

Even the Torys don't like his political right wing agenda.

Anyway, we got stuck with him today.

Gran was every inch a queen and nothing but polite, but was also not unclear in her opinions. She brought up a dozen different things in conversation that his dislike for is public knowledge. She commented on how his policies in the United States have failed the world over. And when asked if he could go to Windsor Castle, Gran told him that tour tickets cost thirty-five pounds, fifty. Cramp actually didn't get the hint and said he wanted the Queen (whom he continuously called 'Vic' and 'Your Grace') to give him a "special, behind the scenes tour.

Gran's reply was "No - I don't think so."

I'm sure he'll have som half thought out, absurd post that will spark an international incident.

He turned her back on her and broke protocol more than a dozen times and each time a footman or even Her Majesty's Private Secretary would give him a fresh protocol sheet. Meanwhile Anne and I made his breaches a drinking game.

At the end of the night, Annie and I made sure to call Gran "Your Majesty" and appropriately bow our head and curtsy so that the President could see how badly behaved he's been.

Apparently, he also expected the Queen to show him out at the end. If it had been daylight perhaps she would have. Instead she had a footman show him out.

I would call his behaviour alone a diplomatic incident and if I were the monarch, I'd instruct my government to demand and apology.

Perhaps it's best I'm not in the top job yet.

Tangentially related, one of the US Secret Service Agents came on to me. Ironically we both asked the other to sign NDAs. He doesn't want the President knowing his sexuallity. I don't think I could date an American. That is if I could date at all. They are a fun novelty, but not something meant to be kept.
