The Unity War
"Misguided religious ideologues guided them to that war, im just thankful they also pulled them out of it" - Kataoka Hikomochi, Easterlands general
The Unity War is what the historians of Everweld and Edu called an attack from the Agenor, they call it the War in Heaven as they believed it to be an extension of that myth.
The Dragonborn were technologically Superior to the realms of men, using the Airships to great effect. They burnt a large portion of the westerlands, using Wyvern riders and firecasks to torch cornfields. Traditional forms of warfare were completely impotent against such tactics. Archery, cavalry and Shards were (obviously) unable to get in range of the grand airships of Damianos' fleet.
The Conflict
Prelude
This was an unprovoked attack by the Agenor on the Easterlands, wishing to unify Navifor for their gods to use it in their own war. The Edu saw this as an unparalleled dishonor and rushed to assist the Eastmen.
Battlefield
The battle was mostly fought in the air and on the decks of colossal airships. This further led to the Dragonborn commanders delusion of a 'War in Heaven', fighting in the sky above a burning hellscape.
Outcome
The Edu, Eastmen and Everweldians strengthened diplomatic bonds after the conflict was immediately over, but fell short of announcing an alliance.
Aftermath
The Agenor fell into seclusion, and became a theocracy. The Agenor Mystics order the massacre of the Red Dragonborn across the continent, in the worst genocide since the Elves attacked the First City a millennia ago.
Historical Significance
Legacy
The legacy of The Unity War was felt 150 years later during the Incursions. The King of Braccia cited it as the evidence neccassary to form the Grand Alliance.
In Literature
Tales of Kensei and Samurai taking down colossal airborne Wyvern carriers with a series of dashes and cuts have found there way into many old soldiers stories. Most of these are almost certainly embellished, most monks couldn't destroy an airship with a katana. Their bear hands however...
