The Creation Dragons
The Creation dragons are a pair of Dragon gods, creators of the world and the Mother and Father of the clans. They represent the fundamentals of the Universe, and in their duality created the world during their mating flight. They especially prize though the Islands of Tatsukojima since they created it specifically to be their home where they would raise their children.
They are known by many names but the most common are Izumiyo the Dragon mother and Hajime the Dragon Father. Between them they created all the lands, and named the four directions as a mating ritual. Then they settled in the center of the world, and produced four broods.
The First brood, known as the Twisted, came out deformed and monstrousThiswas caused because Dragon mother said they love Dragon Father first. Though they tried to love their Mother she was ashamed and hid her face from them, placing them in the dark places of the world to make sure that those that followed did not fall to their ways.
The Second brood were the Pillars, who became the five elements. They at first served the dragon mother Faithfully, but when they found she would have a child soon they joined the monsters in a rebellion against dragon mother. When they were captured the Dragon mother locked them into their most primal forms, and took from them all power so that they could serve her next children.
The Third Brood were the five Elemental Dragons, who took up their older siblings responsibilities in their absence. When they were old enough each went out into the world to shape it as they saw fit to make way for their younger brethren. They found out they would need to be sacrificed as they traveled, and each accepted this in their own way, knowing they would come back when the time is right. They returned only when their mother announced that the Fourth brood was coming.
The Fourth Brood was the most well loved. The mortal children were cherished by Mother and Father Dragon and doted upon. They were given mates and homes, each according to their own needs. They spread and prospered quickly, and created more than any of the others. Yet when they were born the Mother Dragon had a vision, that one day there would be a great tragedy that would destroy them that no one could stop. The twisted would return and wreak havoc on their younger siblings, releasing the Pillars and destroying he world. Desperate, she and Father dragon decided to meditate until they could find a way to stop it. They also sent the Elemental Dragons to the lower hells to search there too, and used their bodies to create all that would keep the tribes safe while they searched.
They returned when their beloved children teetered on the edge of disaster, and through their new found knowledge allowed them to survive their older siblings attack. They sealed them away, and stayed to keep the seal in their Mountain den.
