City Guard - King's Reach
Structure
This highly ordered organization follows the lead of the Seneschal who commands several Captains. Each Captain commands several Lieutenants who intern command the Sergeants and Privates. The Captains and those below them serve in specific districts but will be tasked with filling out the ranks of other units if the situation calls for it. Punishment is usually dealt with inhouse for breaking organizational taboos and for lawlessness in general.
Culture
The City Guard tend to protect their own. Due to their reach in the city and the few organizations that can outwardly oppose them much of the 'warfare' happens on an individual level thus the organization is quick to protect its own in spite of evidence. Most in the Guard believe they are doing their part and have seen enough to know life without their patrolling would quickly unravel in a city of this size.
Public Agenda
They openly maintain the peace in accordance to the dictates that come out of Lord Kesrick's office.
Assets
The Guard control a hall in the main city as well as several smaller building and sections of buildings throughout the city.
They have enough arms and armor to kit out 500-600 soldiers and to provision another 400-500 persons with sufficient arms to bolster the city militia if needed.
History
The Guard in its current form was created when Lord Kesrick was given control of the region. The previous guard was a tangle of smaller groups working for the Lord in each district of the city.
