The Wall

Said to be built sometime around the beginning of the Age of Stability, The Wall encircles all of Tarynn. What lies beyond is a mystery, though according who you talk to, it varies from the ruins of ancient civilizations and wastelands plagued by bands of roaming monsters, to an abyss of nothingness and destruction. Every King of Tarynn assumes the responsibility of maintaining the wall through repair and upkeep, and by selecting elite adventurers who pass The Trials during the Festival of the Apprentice to serve in Tarynn's Chosen, the King's elite force sworn to protect Tarynn from threats to The Wall, both from within and from without.
In most places, The Wall is over 200' tall, and appears to be made of black and white marble, polished smooth and shiny. There is a walkway along the top, and Wall Stations every 20 miles, except in some areas. More information about The Wall is hard to come across, as most workers or guilds associated with The Wall are under close scrutiny, as well as having sworn an Oath to protect the secrets of The Wall.
