Stellars/Astrals

Stellars and astrals are the currency of Tarsis. Stellars are used in daily life, with values of 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, and 500 being minted as coins of varying size and thickness. Astrals are gold bars worth 100,000 stellars, used by banks and wealthy individuals to store wealth in less physical space than is possible with stellars. Astrals may also be used to facilitate larger purchases such as property or vehicles.
Stellars and astrals vary in design across the world, with the size and shape of the coins being the only consistency between regions and continents. Different cities have different designs pressed into the coins and bars, some even having commemorative coins to mark major events. With the global transfer of goods and currency across Tarsis, these unique designs get sent all over world, to the point where only experts on the currency might be able to tell where many stellars or astrals were minted.
