Del De Sange

Del De Sang, or "the House of Blood" in the old language of the Free Hands, rests on the southeast shores of the "Great Lake Luna" in the Northeastern fringes of Tarrahm. Its many Tudor and brick buildings are ornately decorated in gothic styles with all manor or gargoyles, spikes, and other images of the macabre. A bleak and dreary place, you will often find the city shrowded in an unnatural mist and overcast. The dead returned to life and routinely walk the streets serving as slaves and serfs for the living.

Demographics

There are roughly 22,000 living inhabitants of Del De Sang, and possibly 10,000 undead servants walking around as well. The Living population is comprised of mostly Humans and a small community of Dwarves with other groups being firm minorities. All the living inhabitants of Del De Sang, unfortunately, fall into the middle and lower classes, with a Cabal of Undead vampires at the top making up the nobility, and innumerable decaying undead making up a lower slave caste.

Government

Del De Sang is an Absolutely none dynastic Monarchy with most of the administration being performed by the lower lords and ladys of the Midnight Cabal.

History

Castle De Sang Existed long before the modern settlement did, and by the time refugees of the Great Calamity reached the embrace of the great crescent Lake Lord Vulkar "The Wolf" De Sang was already there restoring the castle ruins. He gave work to many of the refugees, reconstructing the great castle and building the new settlement on the shores. None dared to venture below the castle but Vulkar himself, each time bringing up gold and riches he would use to pay for their labor. The people lived in relative peace for a long time after this, with the help of their new lord they built an oasis of civilization in the early years of the Era of Strife. Only the occasional villager would go missing usually a criminal or stranger, none thought much of this as the roads were very dangerous at this time and surely Del de Sang offered them safety?
