Wombtooth Clan

The Wombtooth Clan is a rare and fiercely secretive goblin bloodline, spoken of only in fearful whispers across Tanaria. Unlike the male-dominated raider bands that plague the world, the Wombtooth are almost entirely female, a brutal inversion of goblin norms. These goblins raid not for gold or conquest but for flesh. Males of other species are their prizes, captured alive and kept for breeding until they are broken, spent, or no longer useful.   The Wombtooth are larger, stronger, and far more cunning than the common goblin, their bloodlines honed by generations of selective breeding. Their children, born from stolen fathers, are stronger and faster than their host-born kin, giving the Wombtooth an edge that most goblin clans can only envy. Whether they live in deep forgotten forests, shattered ruins, or ancient cave networks, the Wombtooth are masters of isolation and ambush. Many believe the Wombtooth Clan is only a myth told to frighten foolish young men away from wandering too far from the roads. But each year, men vanish into the wilds, and the Wombtooth thrive.

Culture

The Wombtooth Clan exists for one purpose: continuity of bloodline through domination. Every aspect of their culture revolves around survival, fertility, and the control of breeding stock. Males are seen not as companions but as resources to be captured, broken, and used. Strength, cunning, and the ability to bear strong offspring are the highest virtues among the Wombtooth.   Social status within the clan is determined by lineage and breeding success. Females who bear many strong, healthy children hold the most influence, forming an inner circle that governs raids, territory claims, and the assignment of captured males. Younger or weaker females serve under them, tasked with hunting, guarding, and maintaining the living stock pens. Failure to produce viable offspring or to protect the clan’s resources results in brutal demotion or exile.   Rituals are central to Wombtooth life. Captured males are paraded before the clan, assessed, and fought over in ritualized displays of dominance among the
females. Blood offerings are made to the earth before each major raid, beseeching nature to bless their fertility and grant them strong sons. Every birth is celebrated with violent revelry, and the newborns are immediately judged for strength and vitality.   Secrecy is sacred. The Wombtooth guard their existence fiercely, killing or enslaving any who stumble across their hidden dens. Their myths teach that the outside world would destroy them if it could, and so they must remain hidden, growing stronger in the shadows until their numbers are enough to carve out a permanent place in the world. Every raid, every breeding, every newborn is a step toward that destiny.

History

The true origins of the Wombtooth Clan are buried in myth and fear, but what little is known paints a brutal picture. Most scholars believe they splintered from a larger goblin population centuries ago, likely during a time of great famine or war when survival demanded a new method of propagation. Where other goblins raided for food and territory, the Wombtooth turned to flesh, capturing males of other species to sustain their bloodlines. Over generations, their society shifted entirely, growing stronger, more secretive, and more brutal.   Whispers of the Wombtooth first appeared in the records of border towns and frontier outposts — tales of vanished hunting parties, of lone caravans found overturned with no bloodshed but missing men. Some speculate the Wombtooth are the remnants of an ancient goblin matriarchy, a primal echo of a time when goblinkind ruled their own wild corners of the world. Others claim they are a curse, spawned from some forgotten goddess of hunger and birth.   Whatever their origin, the Wombtooth Clan today remains hidden, growing in the dark places of the world. Every generation that passes without their exposure only strengthens the myth — and the fear — that somewhere in the wilds, a silent army of goblin-born blood waits to be unleashed.

You think goblins are mindless, filthy things. You think you can outfight them, outrun them, outsmart them.   You don't understand.   They're patient. They wait until you're broken. They feed you just enough, whisper things you don't understand while they crawl over you in the dark. You stop being a man. You stop being anything at all except what they want.   I don't even know how many nights it happened. I don't know how many children I left behind....   I ran the first chance I got. I ran even when they screamed after me, begging me to come back.   And sometimes at night, when the wind is right, I swear I can still hear them calling... my wives, my children, my clan.
