Eredin Moonrider

The Skybound Blade Eredin Selû'Valar

Eredin is a Seraphelle warrior forged in the fires of loss and vengeance. As a child, he was raised in the same village as Vela Starkissed, his closest friend and first love. Their lives were forever changed when Leonin warriors attacked their home, leaving him severely wounded—a rare event for a Seraphelle, given their natural healing abilities. The scars that remain serve as a testament to his survival, but also a haunting reminder of the people he failed to protect. For years, Eredin believed himself to be the only survivor, his grief turning into a burning desire for revenge.   He dedicated himself to combat, honing his skills until he became a formidable warrior, one whose purpose was singular—destroy those who took everything from him. Yet fate had other plans. Reunited with Vela after years apart, he was shocked to learn that she had bonded with Tenzin, a Leonin Guardian—the very thing he had sworn to destroy. The revelation shattered his expectations, forcing him to confront the reality that vengeance would not bring him peace.   At first, Eredin struggled with bitterness and jealousy, feeling robbed of the chance to become Vela’s Guardian himself. But through battle, shared hardship, and Vela’s unwavering presence in his life, he slowly came to respect Tenzin—not as a rival, but as a brother-in-arms. Though it took time, the two warriors eventually reached an understanding.   Despite his initial pain, Eredin’s bond with Vela never faded. Through their trials, he remained one of her fiercest protectors and closest companions, even becoming one of her lovers. His journey is one of reconciliation, self-discovery, and learning that fate does not always take away—it sometimes offers a different path forward.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Eredin is a tall, athletic, and battle-hardened warrior, built for speed, endurance, and precision rather than brute force. Standing at 6’4” and 190 lbs, he possesses an imposing yet graceful presence. His brown and cream-feathered wings are powerful, allowing for exceptional aerial maneuverability and extended flight.   Marked by a deep scar across his cheek—a rare wound for a Seraphelle—his body carries hidden scars from past battles, though most have healed over time. His reflexes are razor-sharp, making him nearly impossible to pin down in combat, and his stamina is exceptional, allowing him to fight relentlessly.   While his physical strength is formidable, his true power lies in his speed and aerial mastery. Though he has learned discipline over the years, he remains impulsive in battle, unwilling to back down when provoked.   Eredin is the embodiment of a warrior honed by loss and survival—a storm in motion, balanced between fury and control.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Eredin was born in a Seraphelle village, a thriving yet secluded settlement nestled in the Tastow Jungle, where the sky seemed close enough to touch. From the moment he could walk, he was drawn to the wind, soaring with an effortless grace that marked him as a natural-born warrior. He Callista and Vela Starkissed were inseparable, childhood friends who shared dreams of adventure and purpose.   Their peaceful lives were shattered when Leonin warriors attacked. The skies burned with fire, and their tranquil home became a battleground. Eredin fought, but he was still young, untested. He fell defending his people, gravely wounded—a rare failure of the Seraphelle’s natural healing abilities. When he awoke, the village was gone. Vela was gone. His people were dead or scattered, and he was left with nothing but scars that would never fade.   For years, Eredin believed himself to be the sole survivor, and he let that belief forge him into something ruthless and unyielding. He abandoned the soft ideals of his childhood and trained himself into a living weapon, his heart hardened by loss. His only purpose was vengeance—to hunt the Leonin responsible and make them suffer as his people had suffered.   He became a warrior of reckless grace, fighting with the fury of a man who had nothing left to lose. Each battle he survived only fueled the storm within him. His wings, once a symbol of freedom, became a tool for war—silent as the wind, swift as judgment. He hunted those who had taken everything from him, never questioning if the path he walked was leading him somewhere darker than death itself.   Fate, however, had other plans. One day, Eredin found Vela.   After years of believing she was dead, she stood before him, alive, whole, and changed. The joy of reunion was short-lived when he learned the bitter truth—Vela had been bonded to Tenzin, a Leonin Guardian.   The very thing he had sworn to destroy.   It was a cruel twist of fate, one that left Eredin reeling. He had spent years sharpening his hatred, only to find that the person he loved had already made peace with the enemy. Worse still, he had hoped—assumed—that he would be the one to stand beside her as her Guardian. That honor had been stolen from him before he ever had the chance.   At first, he resented Tenzin for it. He resented Tenzin for existing, for being bonded to her, for being a Leonin. His world had been so simple—the Leonin were the enemy. Now, that truth was unraveling.   At every turn, Tenzin challenged him. He was not the monster Eredin had imagined all Leonin to be. He was not a mindless killer, nor was he cruel. He was Vela’s Guardian, whether Eredin liked it or not.   At first, their relationship was one of pure tension. They clashed often—Eredin was reckless where Tenzin was controlled, fire where Tenzin was stone. The only thing that kept them from tearing each other apart was Vela herself.   But war is a brutal thing, and brotherhood is often forged in blood.   They fought together, side by side, again and again. Tenzin saved Eredin’s life more times than he could count, and Eredin—grudgingly—did the same. Over time, hatred gave way to respect. Respect grew into understanding. And eventually, understanding became something more.   By the time he realized it, Tenzin was no longer just a rival. He was family.   Through it all, Eredin and Vela’s bond never faded. If anything, the fire that had been between them as children had only grown. He had always loved her—before the war, before the loss, before fate twisted their lives apart. He had thought it was over, that fate had taken her from him.   But fate, it seemed, was not so cruel after all.   Though Vela’s bond to Tenzin was unbreakable, her heart was vast, and it still had room for him. Over time, their connection deepened, shifting into something more than just childhood affection. He was not her Guardian, but he was still hers.   And that, in the end, was enough.

Social

Speech

Eredin’s voice is calm and measured, carrying an effortless authority without needing to be raised. His pitch is low and smooth, with a controlled intensity that makes every word feel deliberate. His Seraphelle accent is light but distinct, lyrical in cadence yet hardened by years away from his people. He speaks precisely, avoiding unnecessary words, favoring statements that carry weight rather than flourish. Though he has no speech impediments, his voice tightens subtly when emotions run high, and in moments of frustration or battle, his tone becomes clipped and edged, like a drawn blade waiting to strike.
