Elaethen Rimewater

Captain

Captain Elaethen Rimewater carries herself like the sea she sails—steady, watchful, and always moving. She’s tall and broad-shouldered, with the build of someone who’s wrestled sails in storms and hauled her share of stubborn cargo. Her skin is weathered bronze, sun-touched and wind-cut, and her black hair is streaked with iron-gray and tied back in a tight sailor’s knot beneath a salt-stiffened tricorn hat.   Her coat is a deep navy blue, its edges faded from years at sea, fastened with silver buttons in the shape of crescent moons. A matching cloak hangs from one shoulder, clasped with the sigil of the Mirrored Moon Trade Company—a polished crescent etched with still waves. Her gloves are worn thin at the fingertips, revealing calloused hands and short, practical nails.   Her eyes are a piercing sea-glass green, sharp and assessing, with the distant focus of someone who thinks in tides and tonnage. She rarely smiles, but when she does, it’s quick and sly—like a woman who knows the cost of everything and the value of very little. A long knife sits sheathed at her belt, alongside a small brass spyglass and a ledger that never leaves her person.   She speaks in calm, clipped sentences—efficient, diplomatic, and never quite without edge. To her crew, she is both compass and storm; to strangers, she is courtesy wrapped around a coiled spring.
