Lysandra
Born early in the Fourth Era in the once thriving city of Winterhold, in Skyrim, Lysandra was an aspiring mage at the College of Winterhold before she was brutally murdered in 4E 27. However, the God Arkay, patron of life and death, had other plans for her, and in 4E 200 she was resurrected in order to fulfill an ancient prophecy long forgotten. She now continues her studies of Restoration magic at the College, to ends unknown to even her.

Personal history
Lysandra, named after the famous King Lysandus of Daggerfall, was born on the 1st of Evening Star in the fourth year of the Fourth Era to mages who the year prior had fled from Cyrodiil after the Oblivion Crisis and the dissolution of the Mages' Guild to Skyrim, where the College of Winterhold was relatively unaffected by the crisis.
She quickly grew a fascination with the forces of life and death, and soon began to study Restoration magic, seeing it as the ultimate expression of magical power. Her life was a fairly sheltered one, and she cared little for what she saw as petty politics going on elsewhere in Tamriel. She was on the track to becoming one of the most respected mages at the College when, while walking late at night, she was approached by a stranger who attempted to seduce her. When she refused his advances, he grabbed her, causing her to try and scream, which the stranger responded to by twisting her necklace, and in the ensuing struggle, strangled her with it. The man, panicking, hid her body and fled into the night.
Her body was found the next morning by an employee of the local inn, and despite a major search effort, the culprit was never found. Her funeral was attended by many prominent citizens of the city, including the Jarl and the Archmage; however, this was not the end of Lysandra's story. Nearly 200 years later, in 4E 200, four priests, unknowingly guided by the God Arkay, performed a ritual that brought Lysandra back from the dead, fulfilling an ancient, forgotten prophecy regarding "the First of Fours" and "a Second Death".
Education
From a young age, Lysandra was educated in the ways of magic at the College of Winterhold in Skyrim. She excelled in her studies, especially when it came to the school of Restoration, though she is not particularly proficient in Conjuration or Destruction.
Mental Trauma
Having experienced her own murder and subsequent resurrection, Lysandra naturally has serious trauma. Particularly, she is extremely sensitive to having anything touch her neck, as she was strangled with a necklace, and now refuses to wear anything tight-fitting.
Intellectual Characteristics
Lysandra is, by all accounts, a kind but reserved woman, preferring to quietly study rather than interact with others. However, if approached, she opens up somewhat, and is thought of well by her fellow students. She is also quite intelligent, though suffers from self-doubt and frequently lapses into fits of melancholy.
