With their new found information, the party tells Garyn what must be done. Garyn accompanies the party to the peak of Ash Mountain to help destroy Balreth. However, Jahirr cautions against this and Garyn decides to stay back.

The party approaches the peak of Ash Mountain, which has grown more and more restless. The party recognizes this place to be the same place they saw in the vision that Mavos granted to them. Of note, the presence of the two braziers which were used to summon Ragebinder and Blaze. Geralt and Sully decide to approach the two braziers and activate them when suddenly, the rumbling of the volcano stops.

Balreth emerges from the crater of the volcano and onto the rocky area around the braziers. He lets down a large slam into the Earth and separates Geralt and Sully from the rest of the party. The atronachs emerge but are being controlled at the moment by Balreth. A fight ensues in which Roomba II was killed and Judy was downed. Balreth opened a portal and summoned the same Dremora that was summoned on the vision granted by Mavos. In the end, Sully and Geralt defeated the atronachs who then aided the party in quelling Balreth. Jahirr cast Chilling Waters on Balreth and Geralt won a stunning victory in a vicious rematch with the Dremora. Balreth was buried under a large rock where he will be forever bound. Mavos appeared to the group thanking them for their efforts. The party was rewarded by Garyn on behalf of House Indoril for their heroic effort in quelling Balreth.
