Daragun

Daragun is a sea eternally covered in sheets of ice. It sits between Altvelt and Ibivelt, and, along with the Aaraktora Mountains, stands as a natural border between the two. Though mostly ice, there are mountains scattered about where most all settlements can be found. Daragun is home to the Dragonborn: Those that live here are larger, and bulkier than those living in the Shattered Sea, better built for the cold. Though there are a few major permanent Dragonborn settlements, most Dragonborn are nomadic, following sources of food and avoiding the Giants that roam the frozen waste.
Daragun is home to two titanic clans: The Dragons of the Bejewled Court and the Giants of the Frozen Hammer. Both claim ownership of the frozen sea, both fighting talon and hammer for the dominion. The Bejewled Court is seated in Rasvimisk, a fortress of glass and precious metal; the Frozen Hammer is seated in Draggerfall, a cave built of the corpse of a Venerable dragon in the Fields of Cania to the north. Both clans fight over dominion to settle an ancient feud, one that goes back to the birth of the world: if such stories can be believed. Frahraek Kalus leads the Bejewled court, revered as a descendent of Kalus and Bahamut. They believe Daragun to be the birthright of the Dragons, as it was by Tezcal's breath that the sea froze. Himmbryter rules the Frozen Hammer, using his strength as a storm giant to hold everyone in line. He seeks to shatter the court and exact vengeance for the imprisonment of Annam All-Father by Bahamut and his Dragons eons ago. The land itself may be poor, but the magic the Dragons and Giants bring can not be denied: Rasvimisk holds treasure and knowledge as old as the dragons; The Giants have mastered thier blacksmithing, Jotunn equipment capable of felling the toughest dragons. Dragon Tears, Giant's Hair, and crystal breath can all be found in Daragun, making adventurers as profitable as the region is dangerous. Beware: It is not just the Titans that roam this icy sea.
