Adaline Stoker

Adaline Stoker was a nurse from Wesshaven who became well known for documenting Miners Lung. Her fame only came after her death, and she worked in a society that believed women were too mentally frail to have a medical career. He work at Tungraad Mine was scandalous, and she faced a great deal of negative publicity for speaking out for the place of women in society. However, among young women, Stoker was a hero and role model. She was the sort of person who was willing to throw the rule book in the face of her detractors in order to work for the betterment of all. Following her death, nearly all the women in Astoria mourned her passing, and the next generation saw a marked rise in women turning to nursing and other male dominated occupations.
