The Wastes

Nobody is really sure of what lies in The Wastes. Attempts at scrying have been of limited success with wizards at the Unseen University reporting that performing magic there is difficult and requires a very specific finesse to avoid it backfiring.
Some explorers of the area have said that members of their group have gone mad viewing the vast expanses of nothing while others talk of small tribes and vast ruined cities dotting the landscape.
