Dresi is a master detective with an operating 'office' in the
City of Kalaman.
Description
From his outward appearance, Dresi would not strike anyone as a master detective. Often in unkempt and unwashed clothes, Dresi gives of a stale odor of coffee and cheap ale, and his clothing is always worse for wear. Often seen in a long, tattered and stained trench coat, wide-brimmed cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and pajama pants, Dresi gives off possibly the most unprofessional look possible of a private eye.
Personality
Despite being in remarkable debt, Dresi keeps his cases organized in a system only he seems to understand, uncovering specific documents from a very tattered and unorganized desk. Despite having little to no liquid capital or personal belongings, Dresi often puts the needs of his clients first, be it for need of payment or for actual care for his customers is anyones guess. Dresi is often found talking to himself, ruling out random decisions on topics that often have very little to do with the conversation at hand.
Abilities
Despite the unkempt appearance, Dresi is arguably one of the best investigators in
Nightlund. He utilizes an unusual approach in determining proper leads, following them incessantly until the truth is revealed. He charges a modest fee, though he could easily charge more for the service he provides. If he cannot uncover the complete mystery himself, he often gives more than satisfactory leads for the client to go on.
Relationships
Friends
Through some shared work in the city, Dresi has worked with members of the
Greenshield Regiment on investigative cases, including the exhoneration of
Nabulee al-Jasafir, a noble in the city. Through this, Dresi and the Greenshields have harbored a friendly work relationship that continues to foster as the elite unit requests his services.
Enemies
Dresi's main enemies appear to be debt collectors from far away and exotic lands. He was first encountered in the Wanderer's Rest defending himself from a bounty hunter after money that Dresi apparently owed.
History
Dresi was first encountered in the city of Kalaman, complete with his run-down apartment-turned-office in the middle of the city. With his wide connections and debts, its unlikely Dresi is from the city itself, but has simply made Kalaman his home in recent years. Other than that, Dresi's experiences and lifetime travel remain private to himself.
