The Fiagere

Originally related to the same group as The Fiskari tribe, The Fiagere were those from that original tribe that left through the waters following the shimmering waters that The Deep left behind.
They journeyed across the oceans of Eldorath riding creatures called "Board Rays" as surfboards that crossed rapidly through the waves. They also used small, quick, sailboats (Think of Polynesian boats, Moana-style) to travel these large distances after The Deep.
With time, they started to gather together in the ocean, a town of connected ships and floating paths, where they would host their tournaments to see who would inherit the title of Waveguide.
After many years of freedom amongst the waves in search of the Deep, something changed. The Deep changed, its shimmering waters became chaotic, and the Board Rays became scared of it. The tribe could not fish anything good for months, everything was weirdly mutated and those who tried to eat these weird fish did not end up in any good way. So, they came to the shores of another turtle they knew existed, a turtle they also followed for some time in search of some refuge, a turtle that had anchored itself near the coasts of a growing kingdom.
So The Fiagere met with the Alteris King, and the Waveguide agreed with the king to pledge to the growing empire in exchange for supplies. That was when the seafaring times of The Fiagere came to an end, and after a few years by Alteris' request; they went sent to live on an island where The Deep was locked by Gaia, and so The Court of Lapiége was born to guard what lied beneath.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

The tournament was the biggest traditional festival the Fiagere had, to choose who would be the next Waveguide, they rode Board Rays to battle in an arena of water closed by floating paths where the crowd would cheer. They would hold long sticks to try and take each other out of the Board Ray, was the first to touch the water losing and being out of the tournament, with only one member standing behind.
This tournament happened every 10 years and merely partaking in it was already an honor for any Fiagere, because only those who mastered the art of Board Ray riding could achieve such a thing.
This tradition stems from when The Fiagere and The Fiskari were still one tribe, it has just changed as the Fiagere adapted in harmony with the water.
