Drowning Madness

Transmission & Vectors

Consuming something containing Primordial Water, drinking diluted primordial water or small quantities of Primordial water will cause a humanoid to be afflicted by Madness from The Deep.

Symptoms

At first, the afflicted will suffer from severe headaches and stomaches, after a few minutes the afflicted will start seeing visions of the ocean, of walls of flesh, and they will hear wails similar to those of a whale blasting their eardrums. At this point, the afflicted will begin vomiting Primordial Water, burning their throat slightly in the way, healing afterward in two hours.
If the afflicted similarly consume Primordial Water again in less than 24 hours after the first vomiting, the effects will repeat but this time it will worsen, they will begin to seek water and try to put their head inside it, covering the water in diluted Primordial Water, this will last until the afflicted has drowned in the water, their body dissolving into more Primordial Water afterward. As they drown, they will feel cozy, like when someone swims and dissolves in pure Primordial Water.

Treatment

One afflicted by the basic case will heal over time. For the ones afflicted with the more serious case will need to be pulled out of the water and restrained until the vomit the Primordial Water inside them in a painful process or they will drown and dissolve.
