An ancient artifact from the City of Anunitum’s Earthian Museum has been stolen. The thief left an undeniable signature. A smiling face on a camera he knew was there. A face that was well known, once highly respected. Rade, a man who disappeared twelve sols ago after committing a terrible crime.
Days later, another crime shocks the city. One committed by a member of Health Services. A crime of breaking strictly held laws around privacy. An act that has a connection to Rade.
However, Rade seems to have vanished again. There is one who knows how to find him. A child he raised as his own. A child kidnapped sixteen sols ago. Now a young adult and his Mist. Yet, they’ve been excluded from his latest plans.
Rade isn’t the only person Mist cares about. There is also an investigator, Margartha Foster. The daughter of a Councillor. Someone Mist met as a child, for a short time, and has rediscovered. They both have to navigate their relationship with each other and who they’re expected to be. Yet, Rade is still in the city, and his plans may wreak havoc for them and the rest of the city.

During their exploration of the uninhabited Great Island of Candamius, a survey team suffered from a mysterious illness, with two members succumbing to it. After a month of quarantine, it was decided they could return home safely.
A frantic call and a dead body. Was the death caused by a long-term partner or nature? As the investigation begins, the illness from Candamius is spreading in Anunitum.
The Talithans have honored their Ecology, a document stating how they will balance their wellbeing with the planet’s, for more than one thousand sols. Axioms that may force them to choose between their longevity and their morality.
While the rest of Talitha is managing life through the outbreak, Billie is trying to manage life without her best friend. Did the man who was like a brother to her kill him? As she waits for answers, the investigators and the rest of the city face the unknown, and the possibility of more death.

Decisions have been made, safety precautions taken, and a new city is currently being built on the Great Island of Candamius.
In Anunitum, one of The Council of Thirteen is found dead in his home, murdered. A murder that leads to Candamius and threatens to reveal long held secrets.
A Tier-I Ecologist is promoted early to Tier-II so he can investigate. A decision that would face scrutiny if the relationship between the Tier-II, the Councillor, and the woman who fought for his promotion was widely known.
Jolted by the sudden death of the man who’d been his physician, therapist, and adoptive father, Idaeus travels to Candamius to investigate. An investigation that forces him to face his past and the biological father who abandoned him. Idaeus has kept parts of his life behind carefully built walls. Walls he built to protect himself from the past. The more time he spends in Candamius, the more the walls crumble. He will pursue the person responsible, but at what cost?

The Thirteen Vocations have managed the structures that held Talithan society for more than one thousand sols. Some changes have been made to adapt to a growing population and a changing world. But the document created by their founders, The Ecology, still stands as the core of their system. Some have lost faith in the millennia-old axiom. A system to provide food, shelter, and basic medical care for all. But also a system that fears making the environmental mistakes of their ancestors. A society where certain technological advances are heavily restricted.
Threats have been made. Some are angered by the limits and demand change. Change they will have no matter the cost. Letters appear on the desks of two councillors. One that was voted in by Health Services and the other by the Vocation of Preservation.
As the former Preservation member steps down, the vocation must decide who will replace them. One name is prominent on the list. Tier-III Natsuki Okazaki. A highly respected member and an expert on catching smugglers. A woman seen as a hero by many. It’s a position she’s desired most of her adult life. A powerful woman, already in a powerful position. But the nomination could bring new scrutiny. People who will look at her history with skepticism. People who many uncover truths that could shatter the lives of many.
