Malruun

Summary

The Malruun are the sister race of the Seltien, and often co-inhabit the same regions as the Seltien. They are natural sorcerers, and adept elementalists.

Physical Description

They look much like Celcene-Seltien, and as such are tall and slender. They have a pair of metallic growths from either side of their forehead that meet in a semi-circle at the front, which take the appearance of a half halo and can appear in many metallic colors varying from silver, gold, brass, bronze, rose-gold and more. The primary difference in their appearance from the Celcene-Seltien is that their skin is much darker, and has a faint blue hue. Their eyes are typically purple, blue, green or cyan.   If it were not for the highly visible nature of the half-halo protruding from their skull they could easily hide their skin if they wanted to pass for a tall human, something they still manage to do through magic when they need to go unnoticed in the western lands near their dwelling. This is seldom necessary in Sethir, but they often need to do so when passing through Nor'Tirath.

Psychological Description

The Malruun are typically stoic and thoughtful. It is this nature that defines the nature of their magical talents, as their spells are intricate and usually well planned.

Range of Habitation

Melnir, Hyeros

Cultural Basics

The Malruun typically live among populations of Seltien, acting almost as librarians and lore keepers, using the Seltien to bring them knowledge from far across Tor'Saarn. They are stoics and are very powerful mages, often making the few remaining homelands of the Seltien difficult to conquer.

History

The Malruun served as the bulk of Gessar's legions in The Astral Crusade., serving as both battle-mages and scribes.

Advanced Physiology

Skeletal and Muscular Structures Similar to Seltien, however the Crystal Growths of the Seltien are either missing, or in the case of their horns, replaced by mettalic growths.   Diet Omnivorous, similar to Humans and Seltien.
