In every forge worshippers see the industrious might of their god - one who tames the fire to turn chaos into order. In every uncontrolled fire, people see the consequences of angering a fickle god.
Inferno's symbol is a yellow flame on a black background.
Inferno’s Influence
Inferno is the god that grants the creative a spark of inspiration. He embodies industry and effort. Hard work generates heat, even in the coldest of times, and everyone knows that the blessing of a warm sun shining down is from Inferno. The forge is the key to modern life, without smiths at the forge, nobody would have the tools they need. Worshippers dedicate time and effort to ensuring that Inferno is happy. The fires of volcanoes birth new rocks and the metals that are found in the ground are shaped in forge fire. Inferno's role as the god of earth has more to do with digging, mining, and using stone to build. Miners will offer a sacrifice to Inferno in hopes of discovering a productive vein.Inferno’s Goals
Inferno works to ensure that there is no darkness in the world. He wants the hidden treasures of the ground dug up and made into beautiful artwork. But she also sees the need to return things to their base state through cleansing flames.Divine Relationships
Inferno and Taproot work closely together to ensure that agriculture can take place - fresh soil and sunlight being key. Tensions between Wave, Zephyr, and Inferno sometimes translate to disagreements between worshippers.Worshiping Inferno
Natural holy sites for Inferno are beautiful natural caverns and volcanoes. Sacrifices to Inferno are usually made by melting precious metals in a fire. The idea is to sacrifice effort work, so finely wrought jewelry or statues are often melted down during ceremonies, but the metal is preserved. The act of forging something from metal is considered holy to Inferno's worshippers, but for a smith, to dedicate a creation to Inferno is a special act that often ends with melting it down. To celebrate Forgelight on the 25th of Snowfrost, Inferno's worshippers make statues from precious metals of special things, writing wishes on those things, then they sacrifice the objects by throwing it into a special fire. After the fires have cooled down, all the metal from such sacrifices is collected up and added to an alter to Inferno in the nearest church. Altars are simple cubes of metal, mixed and swirled together and polished to a gleam, with a dip for oil which is often lit during worship and them allowed to burn away. Communities take great pride in the size of the altar to Inferno they have in their local church. Because the altars are made of precious metal, in most rural communities, these altars are very small. In large communities or where rich worshippers abound, the altars can be many feet tall and worth hundreds of thousands of gold pieces.Divine Domains
