Grizzley is the current Irae legate. In other words, he is in charge of the sappers and siege engineers that would otherwise be called terrorists.
Subtle, discrete, elegant and compassionate are some of the adjectives that cannot be used to describe him.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Grizzley, despite being relatively short, is still an Emberhand legate. This means he is physically fit and probably tougher than the average legionary.

Personal history

Grizzley has never been sane enough to be likable, according to those who've known him since his days as a recruit. He always showed a bit too much eagerness for causing damage and trouble, but his superiors insisted that they saw great potential on the little man.
Still, despite his tics and tendency to smell like sulfur, Grizzley was good at bringing down buildings. And the Legion, being as inclusive as it suits them when it comes to useful talents, was not going to turn him down. Instead, Grizzley rose through the ranks and became the second-in-command for the Irae rather early in life.
Under the rule of Tiberius III, the Irae branch was sent to Symmer for what the Emperor hoped would be their last attempt to conquer the continent. While what happened there is unknown to most, Grizzley came back a changed man, and not for the better, along with the few survivors that were left. With the former legate reported dead, whatever was left of Grizzley gained control of the Irae Battalion.

Education

Extensively trained by the Emberhand Legion, passed with flying colors on most Irae subjects.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Grizzley played a vital role in crushing Ragmar's rebellion. By burning down a massive chunk of the Lightless Jungle, he put in motion the end of the civil war at the price of the Legion looking a bit bad to everyone who happened to be watching. This made him more upbeat and permanently cheery, a welcome relief from the somber man that came from Symmer.

Failures & Embarrassments

While most people doubt Grizzley is capable of feeling guilt to its most extensive levels, everyone who knew him before his campaign could tell you he came back with a madness that was far more evident than whatever he'd had before. Not only that, Grizzley became a grim man for a while, more prone to violence and depression. That phase is thankfully long past.

Mental Trauma

Grizzley is an open pyromaniac, getting unreasonably happy to do whatever the Legion requires of him. There are also other issues, but Talica's psychology knowledge is not advanced enough to figure them out yet.

Religious Views

Grizzley is a devout member of the Cult of Love. He joined up shortly after the civil war was won.

Social Aptitude

Grizzley's charisma is lacking, but, thanks to his inability to stop smiling, people think he comes off as charismatic or confident anyway.
