Shallow Fungi
Shallow Fungi Rhoncus-summo Augmentum is part of the Augmentum fungi species. They are known to be rapid growers that are able to envelop objects and are dependent in decomposing matter to live.

Basic Information
Biological Traits
Life Span
These mushrooms are able to live indefinitely as long there is matter for them to consume. Otherwise they only live for around 2 minutes.Appearance
Most of the Rhoncus-summo Augmentum tend to be different shades of orange. However, the darker ones are more fertile and are able withstand longer without food.Reproduction
The members of the Augmentum Species reproduce both sexually and asexually.Sexually
Before the mushroom is fully developed, it happens when two different spores from different parents fuse with one another, this leads to mutations in the genes of the original spore. So that during the growth of the fungus changes, and starts taking the genetic information of both parents.Asexually
Within the stem of the mushroom there is a special organ called the Ophilium; Within that organ they are able to produce a sticky and strange smelling substance that attracts insects. When the insects feast upon their ooze they also carry their spores which spreads the area of the fungus. Another mechanism they have is when they are on the end of their life, they explode and send hundreds of thousands of spores onto the air. The spores themselves are not toxic to the living, but they can easily stick to things, and cover them with themselves.Dietary Needs and Habits
Rhoncus-summo Augmentum are decomposers, they rely on rotting matter to live. They do this by quickly envelops the surface area of the object as it attacks the weak decomposing membranes to attach itself and feast uppon the metter stuck to them.
Additional Information
Uses, Products & Exploitation
It is the main ingredient in the production of Shallow Bombs.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
They tend to be located around warm, moist, dark spaces. Which leads them to be most commonly found on the equator of Massif; But, they are not limited to such places.
Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms
Some spiecies of insects such as the Green Skunk Foeda Viridi-armato feast upon the ooze created by the fungus, which consequently makes them spread the spores from the fungus, and may defecate onto the location, which helps the fungi live for longer periods of time.
