Fungiterris
Fungiterris are locations very favorable to fungi. They tend to be quite humid and the air is toxic to most lifeforms.
Geography
They tend to be located in places where there are a vast quantities of decomposition, therefore it's geography may change depending on the location.
Ecosystem
They tend to not have much variety in living organisms, considering how most of its fauna consists of mushrooms, and other fungi. However, there are some species of bugs and few flying animals live withing the habitat.
The animals feed from the slime and excretions from some of the fungi, while the fungi live from its decomposing surroundings and the feses of the living.
Ecosystem Cycles
The location eventually dies out and the corpses of the fungi become great compost for the next step in life.
Localized Phenomena
Spore Rain: just before the location is about to die all the remaining mushrooms release their spores, making the zone a highly toxic and deadly location. Also due to the huge volume of spores the location becomes clouded, making vision difficult.
History
The first fungiterriel appeared in the home of the sea dragons around 800 BA, on top of a uncared mass grave during a plague caused by the slave trading. It started with only a few mushrooms on top of the grave, than it quickly grew into a full scale fungiterris.
The king unaware of its dangers, ordered some lumberjacks to cut down everything. They never returned, after a few more futile attempts of destroying it, it was deemed too dangerous, and was left alone, where it withered away in 8 months.
