Every tabletop roleplaying campaign makes adjustments to the Official Rules, in order to make things work for the people at the table; in order to cover circumstances not specifically considered by the rules creators; in order to make a good collaborative story.
Our First Rule is always going to be: We are here to work together on a fun adventure. Sometimes that means The Cool Rule overrides the official rules; sometimes that means the villain is successful (for now!).
In addition, the MEGS (Mayfair Exponential Game System) is out of print by well over a decade. But the system remains a strong well-built system ( even if some terms are a relic of the time the game was published ). Listing of skills, powers and other mechanics here are listed here from the actual rulebook as needed, since the actual game rules are hard to locate these days.
