History of The Land of Dark Dreams

Origin and Creation
Iria, the centerpiece of the cosmos, originated from the single, formative dream of Glondenal, the Leyfather, who is the first known entity to exist within the formless, massless void. Glondenal, created out of a spark of will and motivated by the simple desire to exist, was the bearer of the first thought, “I am.”   The Essence of Magic
The universe, intertwined with the essence of Glondenal, represented the essence of magic, or the lifeblood of reality. This magical essence is the foundational substance from which all beings and realities are formed.   Formation of Reality
Glondenal, viewing the virgin cosmos, sought to transform it into a realm of endless possibilities. He meticulously woven the fabric of reality, constructing the foundational aspects of creation. However, the vastness of his work led to the distribution of his divine essence, culminating in the formation of the Pantheon of Unity. Glondenal’s essence was fragmented into twenty deities, each contributing to shaping the universe and forging the world known as Iria.   The World of Iria
In its primal form, Iria was a singular entity, encapsulating all dimensions, heavens, hells, and elemental planes within its boundaries, representing a symphony of harmonious existence. Each segment of this unified world was imbued with uniqueness and intricate details, derived from the diverse thoughts of the Pantheon of Unity.

Formation of Mortal Races
The Pantheon of Unity, desiring continuance and further shaping of their creation, introduced the mortal races into existence. Glondenal brought forth the Eladrin, precursors to the Elves, settling them in the eternal twilight of the Feywild. Meanwhile, deep within the catacombs of Iria, Heiyr sculpted the first Dwarves from stone.   Emergence of the Forbidden Ones
Four malevolent entities, the Forbidden Ones, originated from the twisted realm of the Far Realms, introducing corruption, discord, and malice into the fabric of creation. Their arrival and influence disrupted the harmonious union of the divine, setting the stage for eternal struggles for the energy of mortal souls.   Othiniel's Plea for Change
Othiniel, the first child of Glondenal, challenged the divine tapestry and unity. She pleaded for a restructuring of the weave, warning against stagnation arising from unchanging purity. Her thoughts found resonance among several divine beings, leading to a divide within the Pantheon of Unity, segregating them into branches of Purity and Discord.

The First Calamity
The First Calamity was the cataclysmic clash of divine wills, an event marked by colossal destruction and chaos. It began as ideological differences among the gods, but the discord soon materialized into physical conflict, ravaging every corner of existence. The realms were shattered, the divine creation of Iria reshaped and sundered repeatedly, leaving the worlds reeling in chaos. The lands were broken, elements rebelled, and the very fabric of reality seemed to cry in pain as the celestial energies clashed in violent disagreement.   The First Decision
The aftermath of the calamity left the gods in remorse, contemplating the extensive destruction their conflicts had caused. It was then they reached a pivotal consensus known as The First Decision. They agreed that their powers, while creationary, were destructively profound. A new conflict would not just harm but annihilate the totality of their creation. The First Decision was a solemn vow, a collective resolution to withdraw their direct influences from the material and surrounding planes, preventing another catastrophic event stemming from their disagreements.   The Divine Gate
To actualize The First Decision, the gods collaboratively wrought The Divine Gate. It is not merely a physical barrier but a complex work of divine artistry, a weave of celestial laws, and a pact sealed in the essence of divinity itself. It serves as the ultimate barrier, separating the divine realms from the material, making direct interference impossible. The gods, henceforth, were spectators to their creation, their interactions limited and indirect, leaving the worlds to grow, evolve, and decide their destinies.   The Great Restructure
The installation of the Divine Gate led to a profound restructuring of the cosmos. The once unified existence was divided into multiple realms, forming the cosmic arrangement known as the great wheel. Iria, the prime material plane, became the nexus, surrounded by various other realms, each reflecting different aspects of reality and divinity. The Feywild, a mirror to beauty and natural abundance, the Shadowfel, a stark, unforgiving land of eternal darkness, and several other planes arranged themselves in a celestial order around Iria. Each realm became a facet of the multiverse, a piece of the grand puzzle, reflecting the harmonious and discordant notes of the divine symphony.
