The Dawnspire

Founding

Founded initially by the Sisters of the Sword, they later incorporated with other special operations units that were funded by the nations of Reikfell and Edenia and eventually coalesced with other adventuring groups that operated inside of Reikfell and Ishanorn. In 3970 P.F.D., this group came forth under the name now universally recognized: The Dawnspire, with Fade - later called Visilia Ilnacia - being their leader.

Historical Impact

Following the discovery of the fantastical mineral, Kyrite, It was Visilia who first learned how to empower Kyrite into the first Wellspring. Wellsprings were a phenomonal source of magical power, acting as conduits and catalysts for some of the most powerful magical spells, while doubling their use to draw the residual mana from the atmosphere to power incredible feats of engineering for the era, including skyships and flying castles. Of the Dawnspire members, only a few of their most powerful had access to the Wellspring and knew the full power of its use.   Of them were Celia Larinth, who used the power of the Wellspring to cast Soul Transference, shifting the soul of a dragon into that of a mechanical construct known as a Warforged. Another was Ceramir Lystingir, who used the power of the Wellspring to create The Twilight Spire, a mighty citadel that would guard The Icons of Water and Fire, and also serve as a training ground for adventuring parties who dared to travel within its depths. The last of them was Shalinthal Desdemonia, a Drow Sorceress who used the power of the Wellsprings to create spells of immense destructive power, capable of destroying entire cities.

Conflict

However, as time moved forward, The Silent Dark also learned how to create Wellsprings, and their use sparked the Wellspring Wars. In the first two conflicts it was believed that Tysphone had been killed and never to return, but when the Third Wellspring War broke out it was revealed that not only was she alive, but that the wars they had been waging were drawing the attention of extraplanar entities. This devastating conflict drew the attention of one of the Forbidden Ones called The Stillborn Dead. This entity was powerful beyond comprehension, and as its corruption destroyed city after city and decimated entire populations, Tysphone came forward with a remarkable eleventh hour alliance, and united with the Dawnspire to destroy it.   Afterwords came the Second Decision, it was believed that the Silent Dark were forever banished from Iria.
