Benezal

Benezal is a brilliant alfar alchemist who spends much of his time mixing the chemicals and overseeing the processes of the smelting house, for which he is paid handsomely. Once his official duties are finished, he retreats to the alchemical lab behind his first-floor office to experiment with creating alchemical and magical items.
Benezal has had some bad interactions with others that keep him wary of others. Several mine managers have tried to exert influence over him, plying him with drink, drugs, or other diversions. After the first few attempts, he works hard to adopt a "no strings attached" philosophy. Though he is talkative and chatty, most of his patter is gossip and common topics, like the weather.
Benezal's position at the smelting house allows him to live comfortably, but his real money-maker is creating alchemical items in his "spare time". He keeps a stock of common items for sale at any time, and he can be persuaded to craft other items, including some magical items, but expects to be paid in advance before he starts the crafting process.
