Tar Taargadth

Petty bickering and infighting ground to a halt the dwarven Quest for Sky, forcing the dwarven leaders to take drastic measures to unite their fractious citizens. In so doing, they created the Kingdom of Tar Taargadth. The kingdom became an empire when it broke the surface and the dwarven Sky Citadels were built, some of which yet exist. Tar Taargadth existed in some form for 6,500 years before collapsing—today, the region is known as the Five Kings Mountains. Dwarves still dominate this region, but they have never restored their homelands to the original glory of old Tar Taargadth.
