The Teeth of Tempus got their start in the town of Zarach in Ostel. The five current members were in town for all different reasons when a large orc warband raided Zarach from the Earthspurs. During the raid, the Teeth found that they worked well together, and when the Count asked for a team to follow the orcs back to their lair and finish the job, the five jumped at the chance.
They made a name for themselves in the coming months, but gradually, the adventuring opportunities in southern Damara began to fade, so the team bundled up their belongings and traveled to the Vaasan Gate to continue their adventuring career.
Targon the Brave
Human Cleric of Tempus
Targon was born to a noble family out of Impiltur, but rebelled against his family by joining the Company of the Silver Spear, a mercenary company operating out of Impiltur. During a particularly spectacular battle, Targon says that he had a vision of Tempus riding his two stallions. Since that time, Targon has found that the faith of Tempus comes easy to him, gaining the abilities of a cleric without any formal study. He was in the Damaran border-town of Zarach with news of increased humanoid activity when the orc horde descended on the town. He led the others in a brilliant defense of the town and has taken on the role of team leader, even naming the group, the Teeth of Tempus.
Rahla Stormcloud
Human Sorcerer
Rahla was a sailor on the Sea of Fallen Stars, where her Shou heritage and her sorcerous abilities made her somewhat of an pariah among the other sailors. She learned to swear and drink with the best of them, and quickly went from pariah to lucky charm on any ship she sailed with. Her temper was legendary on the Sea, and it was known that she never forgave an insult or wrong done to her or her ship. She caught the eye of one of the Captains of the Pirate Isles, who threatened any crew that employed her when she spurned her advances. Soon no ship would take her. Rahla gave up the ship-bound life and moved to Zarach, far from the life she knew.
Thongrimm
Mountain Dwarf Fighter
Thongrimm's family is from Zarach. He joined the town guard as a young dwarf, although he was older than all of the human recruits and earned his was up to sergeant. His short-fuse got him into trouble however, and he was discharged. He spent the next few years trying to make a name for himself before the orc raid. The raid made him a local hero, and he nearly worships Targon for his strategic mind and leadership skills.
Shanjen Heartseeker
Human (Shou) Fighter (Archer)
Traveling across the Golden Way, Shanjen was an indentured servant who worked a s a guard and scout for a caravan of exotic goods, heading to Damara in exchange for Bloodstone. It may have been the caravan that triggered the orcs to attack, or it may have just been coincidence. The owners of the caravan fell in the orc raid, releasing Shanjen from his servitude. He found a new home of sorts in the Teeth of Tempus and enjoys showing off his archery skills.
Eranwil Battlesinger
Elfmarked Bard
Eranwil claims to be a noble from Aglarond. He has traveled across the breadth of Impiltur and even into Damara, performing at expensive inns. Everywhere he goes, he leaves a few broken hearts. When he's done performing at the best inn in a town, he travels to the worst tavern in town for a good tavern brawl, which he often starts with a few well-placed jibes and insults.
