Snow Leopards

Rangers from the far north, as icy as their homelands Anatoli and Tanya, Markov and Petra are couples and long-time companions in the wilds, they communicate by a unique sign language they created and seem to know what each other is thinking even without the signing.
Anatoli is mated with Tanya. Both are from different Nar tribes. During one of the Trademoots at Bildoobaris, a chance encounter brought the two together. What was at first obsession and lust soon turned to something stronger. Unfortunately, their tribes were at odds. The two stayed at the Trademoot as their tribes left, promising to catch up once they "finished their business". Once they determined that the tribes were far enough away, they made for Sorovia. In Sorovia, they met with Markov and Petra. The four became local heroes driving away an abominable yeti from one village, and an ice dragon from another.
When Tanya's tribe sent scouts to find them, the four left Sorovia and headed for Vaasa. Life at the Vaasan Gate is good, and there is always work for the accomplished team.

Anatoli

Nar Male Barbarian Anatoli is a hulking man, even for a barbarian. He is somewhat inured to cold, and often wears less clothing than others would find comfortable. He and Orbash have something of a "muscle contest" during those times he stays longer at the gate, but he enjoys the Rageborn's company and attitude.
He has a crude sense of humor, and sees signs and omens in natural events with remarkable accuracy. Tanya is the only person who can "tame" him when he gets angry, and there's no doubt that he is completely, slaveringly, devoted to his mate.

Tanya

Nar Female Ranger Tanya was one of the far scouts for her tribe in Narfell when she fell in lust, then love, with Anatoli. It's said that she can track an arctic fox from a mile away. She cares for her group, considering them the family she left behind. She enjoys the Gate greatly, finding the civilized world compelling, but she hasn't lost her rough edge and often plays up being the "barbarian". She and Petra have something of a contest going on, seeing which one can look the "prettiest" at the Gate. Both have been seen at Muddy Boots in nearly scandalous outfits, to the delights of Anatoli and Markov.

Markov

Sorovian Male Druid Markov began his career as apprentice to the shaman of his village. He is the youngest of the Snow Leopards, and the most insightful. He and Petra were secretly seeing one another when Anatoli and Tanya entered their village, because Petra was promised to another. After joining Anatoli and Petra against the yeti attack, which culminated in a raid on the abominable yeti's lair, the two decided to leave with the Nars. While the village was hailing them as heroes, they were also told that their private actions had brought shame on their families.
It was Markov who worked out the sign language that the Snow Leopards use when on the hunt, and taught it to the others. The Leopards have gotten so good with these subtle signs, that outsiders think they read each other's minds.

Petra

Sorovian Female Ranger Petra is the most outgoing and engaging of the Snow Leopards, and their face when they enter a village or town. She was the daughter of the village jarl, but spent most of her time joining the hunters of the village. She was promised to the jarls son from the next village, but fell in love with Markov.
When Anatoli and Tanya came to the village, Petra jumped at the chance to join them, pulling the younger Markov along. The adventures they've had since then completely justifies her choices. She is enjoying the adventuring life, and relishes her dress-up contests with Tanya. She has had enough contact with civilization to know how scandalous their behavior is, which makes the contests even more fun.
