Daggermaw mountains

What remains of the Daggermaw mountains wrap the Western seaboard of Kalandorai following and hugging the fertile plains of the coast. Along the Western escarpment, you can see out over the cities and towns that have risen between the ranges and the sea. Pushed up against their western side you can also see the great Heprath Woods that fill the valleys. Beyond the land, the shallows of the Yacrecian Sea fan out towards the distant horizon, once a deep ocean now only several feet deep for miles.
In the south, the fork in the range is stopped on the western side by an abrupt vertical wall a few thousand feet tall and looking as if cut with a knife. This the spot where the ocean and quakes took a range and made a sea. The eastern fork of the range south of here ends some two hundred miles southeast where you will find a scattering of homesteads and farming ventures wrap tightly around the base of the range taking full advantage of the fertile land and the nutrient-rich waters that cascade down from the mountain valleys above flowing west into the sea and east into the great lakes of inland Kalandorai.
The mountain ranges more northern end ascends rapidly into the skyline with some of the bigger peaks disappearing into the perpetual cloud cover of the north. The mighty Dagger as it is called is the largest of these monoliths, its sharp jagged buttresses making the climb up its exterior the dreams of crazy people and acolytes of Gunmiir, The Sky Queen. Its eastern faces remain untouched and unseen as that side of the mountains descends into the wastes.
