Songs and Dances
Draelish find connection to each other and their stories through ritualistic dances, synchronous singing, meditating in Essence, and communal bathing. One such dance performed around the fall season is called Dirsk Adelin, a dance patterned after a spiraling disk. As the Draelish spins, their tail swirling behind them, motes of Essence start to generate, swirling into a frenzy, faster and faster, reaching a crescendo until, as if everything is frozen for a split second, it all settles down. It is meant to represent the beauty of life tinged with the melancholy of time.
A song that pairs well with this dance is Zjirk Pertu, a song with a melody bursting with peaks and valleys, representing the jagged paths of life that lead, despite the hardships, to calming peace.
