You form a whip of shadows that lashes out toward a creature within range. Make a melee spell attack, on a hit, the target takes 2d4 psychic damage. In addition, if the target is in dim light or darkness, you make the attack roll with advantage.

• At Higher Levels. The spell's damage increases by 2d4 when you reach 5th level (4d4), 11th level (6d4), and 17th level (8d4).
