High Magic (Abjuration)
You encase yourself in a field of metal fragments, creating a shield that will shatter against your foes. The next time you are targeted with a melee attack (hit or miss), the shield bursts, dealing 2d4 piercing damage to the attacker. If the shell has not burst by the start of your next turn, it fades harmlessly.
- At Higher Levels. This spell's damage increases by 2d4 when you reach 5th level (4d4), 11th level (6d4), and 17th level (8d4).
