High Magic (Divination)

For the duration, magic enhances your words as you advise one creature that can perceive and understand you within range. Once within the next minute after casting this spell, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to one ability check (this includes skill proficiencies and initiative rolls) of its choice. It can roll the die before or after making the ability check. The spell then ends. A creature with an Intelligence rating of 4 or higher that perceives your spellcasting is aware of its supernatural influence and responds accordingly.

Note:

• For the purposes of this spell, only one bonus-die effect (the highest) can be applied to any given d20 roll. For example, you cannot use a Bardic Inspiration die in addition to Benediction. You can expend both, but only the highest result of the two is applied to the d20 roll.
