Abnormal Heart: Threll / Yeti-People
Mysterious and elusive with a penchant for elemental magic, the secretive Threll dwell within their monasteries among the snow-capped mountains of Akus.
Inhabiting the frozen peaks deep within the mountains of the north, the Threll were once a clan that followed the ancient customs of the giants, until a Wild Surge changed them into full Wildlings while on a pilgrimage. Born in the form reminiscent of their ancestry, their skin ranges from a dull purple to a cool blue to a warm black, with high cheekbones, piercing blue eyes, and tan-white-silvery fur ranging from a fine layer that leaves their head relatively free to a thick coat that covers all but their face and palms. While remaining strikingly humanoid, upon closer inspection several other oddities began to show, such as horns, pointed ears, and even scaly forearms with a pearlescent shine.

Also known as:
- Yethrl: Before the Wild Surge changed their kind, the Threll tribe were known as devoted worships of the Cloud Giants. After establishing a number of remote monasteries despite being warned of the risk by others (for fear of pushing too deep into the Wilds), legend has it that as the Threll were gathering to worship on the eve of the winter solstice, a sudden, monstrous blizzard engulfed the peaks, shrouding it for months. After the blizzard cleared, the monasteries were completely covered in snow and ice, with all feared dead. When Threki traders later came to pay their respects with yaks and spices, they were scared off as figures emerged from under the snow and ice, familiar yet monstrous in appearance. To this day the locals call them Yethrl, for though they now look like abominable monsters, they still take the form of the tribe they once knew.
