7th-level Spell: Wilds Shift

High Magic (Conjuration)

You and up to eight willing creatures who link hands in a circle are transported to a certain Wild Kingdom. You can specify a target destination in general terms, such as the Ruby Palace in the Sulfur Coasts or the Courts of the Faelyn within the Life Wilds, and you appear in or near that destination. If you are trying to reach the Ruby Palace, for example, you might arrive in its Glass Gardens, before its Walls of Jasper, or looking at the city from across the Flame-Rippled Wastes, at the GM’s discretion.   Alternatively, if you know the sigil sequence of a teleportation circle within a Wild Kingdom or the Spiritual Realm, this spell can take you to that circle. If the teleportation circle is too small to hold all the creatures you transported, they appear in the closest unoccupied spaces next to the circle.   You can use this spell to banish an unwilling Wildling (or Elemental) back to its native Wilds. Choose a creature within your reach and make a melee spell attack against it. On a hit, the creature must make a Charisma saving throw. If the creature fails the save, it is transported to a random location within the Wilds. A creature so transported must find its own way back to your current location.   Source: TfV (Plane Shift)

  • In order to use Wild Shift to teleport between the major Wild Kingdoms, you would first need to be gifted a tuning fork or other item that allows attunement to that particular Wild region. If you do not do this and cast Wild Shift, it will automatically fail, wasting the spell.
  • You may also use Wild Shift to teleport between the many minor Wild regions found throughout the world if you reached an agreement with that region's ruling Wild god, though these minor gods are known to be a bit more...troublesome to work with than their more established counterparts.
  • If a Wild region does not have a Wild god, an associated object taken from the desired destination within the last six months will do.
