2nd-level Spell: Thunderburst Mine

Aspetheurgy (Abjuration)

You set a supernatural trap, infusing thunderous magic into an object. You can set the item to detonate when someone comes within 5 feet of it, or at a verbal command by you. You can issue this command as an action or as a reaction when you see a creature move within 20 feet of a mine, detonating every mine keyed to the verbal command simultaneously.

When the magic trap detonates, each creature in a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on the item must make a Constitution saving throw. A creature takes 3d8 thunder damage on a fail, or half as much damage on a success. If a creature is in the area of effect of more than one thunderburst mine during a turn, it takes half damage from any mines beyond the first.

A supernatural mine must be set at least 5 feet away from every other mine, and cannot be moved once placed; any attempt to move it results in it detonating. The caster can permanently disarm a mine as an action.
