1st-level Spell: Eldritch Rift

Dream Magic (Conjuration)

You open a momentary portal to an unknowable void, letting eldritch tentacles slip through to tear at your enemies. All other creatures within a 10-foot radius centered on you must make a Strength saving throw. On a failure, a target takes 3d4 necrotic damage and is gripped by the tentacles, preventing it from making reactions until its next turn. On a success, the target takes half as much damage and has disadvantage on opportunity attacks until its next turn.  
  • At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 2d4 for each slot level above 1st, and you can increase the spell's radius by up to 5 feet for each slot level above 1st.
