Personal history
Beth grew up in a loving family in New Houston. She was an only child, and her parents doted on her. She went to a normal school and did well in her classes. She loved reading about fairies and mythical creatures and always wanted to use magic as a child. It was even more painful to find out that she couldn't when there was real magic in the world. She didn't want to be normal, but there it was.
At eighteen she went off to New Houston University for classes. She did well; however, it was tough for her because she never quite fit in. Her parents insisted that she live in the dorms even though they were only thirty minutes away from campus. They told her they felt it would help her to fit in and they made it sound like a great idea, only it sounded better than it was. She was looking forward to her sophomore year because her parents told her that she could live at home and commute.
Then one day she started to disappear. At first it was little things, like being counted absent when she'd said she was present. They her phone stopped recognizing her face, then her fingerprints. Then she couldn't get in at all. No one seemed to see her. She couldn't get into her dorm room, and then she found herself out on the streets with nothing and no one able to see her. She tried everything she could think of, but it finally became too much and she decided it was a sign that she wasn't meant to be. She decided to commit suicide.
