114 Knightsbridge Building / Landmark in Tales from the Peppermint Twist | World Anvil

114 Knightsbridge

114 Knightsbridge, home of one of the most exclusive nightclubs in the world. The Peppermint Twist. Hollowed out of the former Service and Trades entrance of Wellington Court and enlarged by excavating underneath, the owners created an sophiscated place for the well-to-do and for those who appreciate discretion.   The Peppermint Twist has of course a dress code. One should arrive dressed to the nines in the heigth of fashion. The club is supposedly for those over twenty-five, yet, some of the girls if twenty-five years of age certainly do not look it.   The drinks and food served in-house is top notch. No expenses have been spared in providing for a clients palate. It is said that there is not a single liquor, spirit, wine, beer or ale missing from the shelves. The barman Alex prides himself on being able to make over 10,000 different drinks. One specialty being the infamous Shin's Kiss. Made with cucumbers fremented in urine. What can be said? Orcs need their drinks too.   The decor and architecture is impressive. From the Neo Classical entrance that appears to be a mix of Albert Speer meeting Grausame Tochter, to the ladies parlour of pastel chinoiserie and the Jugendstil aviary. Seemingly designed by an eclectic goth girl architect and engineer.   As expected security is tight. From the well dressed bouncers at the entrance to the discrete bouncers inside. Many are ex-military or police moonlighting for a few extra quid. There has been very little trouble that is known of. The occasional drunk who has had a few too many of course. Maybe someone who took a party favor and reacted badly. But no scuff ups or violent altercations.    Open around the clock The Peppermint Twist offers a fabulous time to anyone who might decide to pay a visit. Merely remember to come with a deep pocket as prices are five star.
