A fire in Tuvev Keep takes the life of Tamir Nahib and his wife. The quick action of local hermit and bounty-hunter "Haggard" Tram saves the life of young Kyra Nahib. Kyra is adopted by her uncle Marquis Azim Nahib and his husband Sangha Nahib, who also grant Trampling Storm the position of Captain of the Town Guard for his service.
